89-year-old Karl Trei is a member of Canadian masters athletics club. The veteran athlete gives an interview in a sports hall, explaining his principles of training. Practising sports later in life provides healthy body and mind. Karl Trei is running and stretching. The reporter interviews younger men and wants to know what they think about the elderly athlete. Karl Trei raises the bar to 1.06 and tries to set the world record in indoor high jump in his age group. In 1999, he brings home seven gold medals from the world championships in masters athletics in London.
