Vahur Linnuste (born in 1925, in Tallinn, Estonia), son of a military man, studied economy related issues already as a schoolboy. The documentary introduces his childhood memories when he was living in the borderstate between two different cultural spaces - Europe and Russia - and the collapse of the Republic of Estonia in the summer of 1940 when the small independent country of Estonia was united with the empire of Soviet Union.
