Enn Vetemaa is a writer, translator, composer and chemist who opens up the source of her work and life through the prism of good-hearted, self-ironical humour. His close friends, artists and writers also recollect memories about the time spent together - they all left a considerable mark in Estonian literature, art and music. All of them started their creative career during the era of Khrushchev Thaw in 1960s. Enn Vetemaa's creative credo is the best characterized through his own words: "I write only about things I know. A true artist creates his or her own life in the first place. Being artist is not a profession, it is a state of mind. One has to write something that one can read nowhere. Writing is an illness, music is a condition of human mind."
