Portrait documentary about Ester Mägi, composer and music teacher, tells about memory and music. Born in 1922, Mägi has composed music for nearly sixty years; her professional style has simultaneously been traditional and innovative, yet originally conservative. Ester Mägi recalls her life and contemplates on music. If she feels fine, she goes to the rehearsals and performances of her work and gives interpreters (or "consumers of sound" as she calls them) necessary advice and feedback.
