Off the south coast of Iceland lie the Westman Islands. In 2006, Annika Tõnuri, a former soloist of the Estonian National Opera, one of the most talented artists of her generation, moved there to work as a piano and singing teacher. For the Estonian audience, Tõnuri disappeared quietly like a shadow. For the Icelanders her previous life in Estonia remained unknown and fairly incomprehensible. Who was she, how and why did she get there?
