Boston Material

The amateur film begins with depicting farmers in pre-war America. The trucks are arriving to the field, women are hanging laundry out to dry, excavator is filling the trucks with soil, workers are throwing sand to the carts and carrying it to the field. The farmers are planting various plants to the ground.
The second part of the film is about the trip to Mount Washington located in the North-East of USA. There is a ticket office in a log cabin, smoke coming out from the chimney of a locomotive and a train car labelled „Mount Washington“. The tourists are walking on the parking-lot filled with passenger cars and the cog train is taking off from the station, slowly increasing speed. Views of nature and mountain panorama can be seen from the train window.
The third part depicts a festive open-air gathering and an old couple coming down the stairs and walking towards the car waiting for them in the street. A lady is approaching from the train car, a tourists couple is walking on the parking lot. Black-and-white film frames about vacationers on the beach, women in swimsuits are walking hand-in-hand in the sea, there are beach-houses and old-fashioned cars in the distance. Finally, a small group of vacationers gather around the fountain in the garden.
