Sünopsis

There are 84 children aged 10 to 12 spending time in the summer camp for children of expatriate Estonians. Swedish flags are waving in the village. The main building of the camp is either a manor house or a villa. A boy is playing a trumpet as a morning wake-up call. The children are leaving the buildings and running to the lake. They are making morning exercises with their female and male coaches and washing in the lake. The girls are making their beds and fixing their hair. Udo Juuno, head of the camp, is cutting a boy's hair. Line-up in the yard. Hoisting of the Estonian flag. The maid in a white gown and coaches are giving out breakfast in the yard. A girl named Sirje is saying a grace before eating. The children are eating outside. The camp doctor Ants hiielo is checking the children's health. He applies a band-aid to a boy's forehead and putting a bandage to a girl's knee. The cameraman has filmed various camp activities: children at play and sunbathing, the boys chopping firewood, the girls washing clothes in the lake water, lunch nap on grass, picking berries in the forest, playing ball, boys' tug of war, relay race, boys orienteering and eating in the forest, a girl writing a letter, boys playing chess, ride in a row boat, fishing by the lake, swimming. Supper outdoors, thanking for food. Roll call by coaches Juta Paulus and Volrand Piirand. Hauling down the flag. Camp fire. Evening prayer by the girls.
