Festive gathering for celebrating the Book Year in Gothenburg on September 28, 1975. Opening speech by Heli Rebane, followed by the talk by Kalju Lepik. Gothenburg Estonian Women's Choir is performing, conducted by Harry Truus. Speech by Bernhard Kangro. Violinist Alfred Pisuke, accompanied by Hilja Saarne on the piano. Speech in Swedish by Rector Gunnar Netterfors, summary by Arvi Moor. Views of the audience. Poems recited by Kalju Lepik. Concert by the Gothenburg Estonian Women's Choir in Gothenburg on April 28, 1975, conducted by Harry Truus. The choir was founded in April 1967 - so the spring concert takes place at the same time as the choir's 8th anniversary. Soprano Ellen Pelmas-Barringer performs at the concert - she is from Estonia and working as an opera singer at Gothenburg Stora Theatre. Britta Pukitis is accompanying on the piano. A little girl is bringing them bouquets. Again the women's choir on the stage. The choir and conductor Harry Truus are being congratulated.
