In honour of Evelyn Koop, the "godmother" of Canadian gymnastics, the competition has been called Koop Cup. Evelyn Koop was born in Estonia. The following Koop Cup gymnastics competitions take place in Tait McKenzie Centre at York University in Toronto. Gymnasts from different countries perform individual acts. Athletes use loops, balls, ribbons and clubs.
