My family has always had a lot of unspoken taboo topics. My father used to be an alcoholic, my mother has always been emotionally unavailable, which impacted our family relations. In fact, provoked codependent and toxic dynamic in our family. I was always a black sheep, never being taken seriously, and called ‘a strange one’.
I decided to visit my parents in Vitsebsk to talk to them about what I never dared to talk before, and ask tough questions.
