The woman from whose perspective the lyrics are written, is describing how her man hurts her, but despite that she keeps constantly praising him. Director wants to approach this topic from a symbolic point of view - to make a stylistic, unnerving yet alluring visual representation of the inside of the protagonist’s mind.
