Documentary miniature about the biggest and the most well-known male art collective – the Estonian National Male Choir at its 40th anniversary since founding. Men are singing behind the scene a choral work "Epilogue of the Mahtra War" by René Eespere. Episodes between and with the music: children having an excursion in the museum of history where they get to know the history of Mahtra War; René Eespere and Kuno Areng having a conversation; the excursion guide introduces the men the sculpture "Mother Earth" in Russian; choir rehearsal and cutting the anniversary cake.
