The military oriented comedy tells about a simple farm boy Joosep Toots, his life in military service, his attempts to win back the affection of a young woman Teele and his rivalry with a dandy cavalry officer. The events of the film have been spiced by plenty of humour and numerous documentary scenes introducing Estonian defence forces.
