The Great Magician (2006)

Based on the novel of the same title by René Daumal

Feature film | Fairy Tale Duration 14:00

The film is an absurd and tragicomical fairytale about the unhappy life of an unknown and poor magician. He lives as a pedantic official of Mysterious Bank on Forsaken Street. Despite the fact that the magician is surrounded by evil-minded people, he won't use the opportunity to use his great magic powers. His steadfast faith in virtues, moral and divine providence obsesses him as he won't use his potential as a magician. No one will hold a speech at his funeral, no one considered him to be the great magician, perhaps not even himself!
