The beginning of 1950s. Mait Kukemeri from the Young Communist League is appointed to improve the process of spring sowing in a collective farm. The leader of the collective farm together with his fellow farmers won't rush to the field since the soil is too wet for sowing and there is not enough seed grain. But the authorities want the results. So the young deputy has to find a solution at any price. He will discover new things about life and himself during that crazy yet bright spring.
