The ancient burial mounds in Niklusmäe have been torn up by excavators, the bones are scattered around and the valuable things that were once buried with the bodies have been stolen.

The ancient burial mounds and a village graveyard dating back to the Middle Ages located near Kaagjärve Lake in Karula parish, Valga county, were plundered in the summer of 2012. The central area of the burial mound was completely torn up by the excavator and the bronze jewellery findings from the ground were collected with the metal detector. A crime has been commited. The ancient graveyard has been destroyed, bones are scattered around, and plenty of valuables have been stolen from the ground. The locals say that they know nothing about what has happened. Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
