The Metsküla Elementary School is a classic example of the joys and problems of the current education system. Today, there are 22 students and 3 teachers here. And yet, the threat of closure looms over this school as well. If the school dies – the town will die with it.

It's the first schoolday of the 21st century in Metsküla Primary School in Matsalu, Lihula parish. There are 22 pupils in six different grades and 3 teachers in the school. The school functions well, both teachers and pupils are happy with it. However, the school is facing the prospect to be shut down soon.
