A captivating historical documentary with plenty of animation about the destiny of a popular Estonian caricaturist Gori (1894 - 1944) between the two World Wars when total powers leave less and less choices to the talented artist.

This film is an interweaving of documentary narrative and animation. The first, based on historical sources, conveys Gori's biography, world events, and mediates the press and political life of the republican time. It moves along historical facts, is initially easy and fun, and in the end cruel and ruthless. Since there are no living witnesses from this era, nor are there biographers of Gori, the direct sources are photographs, old film clips, newspaper articles, sound recordings, letters and drawings. The short film is made by second year film students. It is based on a Lilli Luuk's novella “Kolhoosi miss” following a story of two young girls, their friendship and growing up in a 1988 Soviet smalltown in Estonia.

Miina has grown up in a safe home environment. That can’t be said about her best friend, Liidia. Besides having a beautiful friendship and doing normal teenage things in the Soviet smalltown, there is some darkness to be faced. Everything begins to change when Liidia becomes influenced with a new arrival to town, a woman portraying what she aspires to be. A new, better and more confident version of herself, so that she could find a way out of her unsafe environment.
