"The Bug" (1963)

Preparations for the evening theatrical performance at Tallinn State Academic Drama Theatre. Scenes from the play "The Bug".

The head of the performance, Anne Kasemets, asks that the lights should be flashed in the theatre lobby – the evening performance will start. A glimpse to the world of backstage – the audience does not know much about the extensive work done by light and stage technicians, make-up artists, stage manager etc. in order to contribute to the success of the performance. Actors are playing. Stage design is quickly changed after the end of a scene. The revolving stage makes technical work much easier. Actor Olev Tinn prepares for the next scene backstage, he is observed by the stage director Mai Mering.
