Animated film PIANO
Director’s comments
The film is about man’s inability to surmount his inner barriers, the temptation to sink into a comfort zone at decisive moments.
The film is animated laconically with a great deal of pauses. Details are focused on with great care.
The slightly inhibited sequence of frames that nevertheless has an inner intenseness keeps the viewer in a somewhat uncomfortable state of tension. It is through this feeling that the viewer can identify with the film’s characters. The film’s sound track is very realistic, almost without music. There is minimal dialogue.
