The short TV documentary ‘Sneakerheads’ by Kristi Prik gives to sneakerheads the chance to talk about their unusual hobby.
In this short TV documentary, we have to sneakerheads. One of them is Rainer Olbri, or also known by his artist name, Metsakutsu Rainer is a graphic designer, a hop-hop artist and a sneakerhead, 3in1. He has been collecting shoes for almost a decade and is also one of the main promoters of the sneakerhead culture in Estonia. He runs an online lifestyle magazine called Hooligan Hamlet., where the writers talk about music, streetsyle, events and, of course, sneakers.
The second character is Rahul Ahluwalia. According to Rainer, Rahul is easily the number 1 sneakerhead in Estonia. He owns over 120 pairs of sneakers, most of them Nike’s. He also owns some of the rarest pieces in Estonia.
The short ‘Sneakerheads’ gives the collectors the chance to answer popular questions like how and why they started collecting sneakers, how much money have they spent or are willing to spend, what their loved ones think and more.
The reason behind making this movie is me consider myself to also be a sneakerhead who sometimes gets weird looks for it and I would like to spread the knowledge of this culture and show people that being a sneakerhead does not mean that you are crazy – it just means that you have developed a strong love for something beautiful.
