Miriam’s Hen’s Dream (2016)

Director’s note

Film „Miriam’s Hen’s Dream“ was completed exactly as it was planned. It was my fourth film of Miriam-series and in seven of the series I have participated also as animator. I had already a stable vision of making this series. It is even pity that the series will be over – the current film is the last but one.

The aim was making a merry autumn story about the Hen who is longing to migrate to south and a special item in this film was self-built plane. Story as a film came out simple, understanding and definite. There is quite a lot of action in the film, so the rhythm is quite quick but is completely trackable. Just I felt that this story could even be even a little bit longer.

The designer’s work (Ivika Luisk) is perfect, taking into account the strict pattern of the previous series and this made the preproduction even easier.
Composer Tiit Kikas had an opportunity to experiment with different instruments and gave to the film a peculiar positive feeling.
Cooperation with sound designer Tiina Andreas was also enjoyable since we have a stable understanding of the sound language too and everything was smooth.

All Nukufilm people felt themselves solidly, everybody was aware of his doings. There was no need for experimenting. Altogether I was very satisfied with the shooting of the film and the film was completed exactly as it was planned.
