Ave Hansen's, Gertu Pabbo's and Indra-Mirell Zeinet's animated videoinstallation "Spiritflight" has been made in collaboration with Tallinn Photomuseum. Animation is made to be projected on the opposite wall of the museum. The animation is hand drawn and has original sound.
The animation is dedicated to All Souls' Day. Because of that, the main motives of the film are: an eye symbolizing the mirror of the soul or the eye of the camera and the soul bird.
According to some beliefs one can catch souls with the photocamera. Also it is being promised to the little children, that a bird will fly out of the camera, to get their attention.
So how is it? Will be the soul bird caught or will it breake free?
