Duet (2019)

Veera (Lisanna Lajal) and Karmen (Johanna Poll), two young circus artists are in their dress rehearsal. Veera’s training goes perfectly, but Karmen falls down from the hoops while performing a difficult trick. Karmen feels bad about her own performance and feels great envy over Veera, who is praised by their trainer. After the dress rehearsal, Karmen challenges Veera in another competition - bearing heat in the sauna. She wins the battle, but as she tries to get out, Karmen discovers that Veera is holding the door closed and she cannot get out from the unbearable heat. The arrival of their trainer makes Veera let her out. Karmen stumbles out of the sauna and reaches a balcony to cool herself down. Veera follows her to the balcony. Karmen recollects herself in the cold air and invites Veera to another duel through dancing. They dance their way up the stairs, but as Veera passes Karmen and it looks like she is “winning” the dance, Karmen pulls away her towel and runs away with it. Veera is frightened for a second, but recollects herself and runs after Karmen, laughing.
