Oleg is in a little house in the forest, showing his electronic surveillance machine. Having grown up around the wrong people, Oleg became an early alcoholic and trouble maker. When he was facing court for somebody else’s crimes, his wife gave a false statement against him and thus he ended up in prison. There, he continues to commit more crimes, even murder, and eventually getting the death sentence. But before he gets executed, the president of Estonia signs a pardon and now, during his life sentence, he decides to become a christian and turn his life around completely. After experiencing God’s presence in his life, he gets released to the chrisitian rehab centre Lootuse Küla (The „Village of Hope“) where he has to stay for ten months under electronic surveillance. There, he can experience true freedom when he sits by the peaceful river, where there are no car sounds around and where he looks at the stars. But at the end of the day, he has to return to his room, where he checks into the electronic surveillance machine.
