Original title: Helin
Documentary commissioned by the Ministers' Council of Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic about the 20th Song and Dance Festival dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Great Patriotic War and the 45th anniversary of Estonian SSR. The film shows the emotional moments during the preparation phase of the festival, its colourful procession and the festival itself, the honoring ceremony of the choirmasters and dance masters. Maestro Gustav Ernesaks contemplates on the phenomenon of Estonian song festival tradition.
