Plot summary

Alma Tomingas, head of the pharmacognosy faculty and university lecturer, leading the practice with students in February 1941.

Alma Tomingas was the first Estonian femal professor at the State University of Tartu who studied medicinal herbs and initiated wider use of medicinal herbs in Estonia. Students in white coats examining plant cells with the microscope. Alma Tomingas walking between the desks and tutoring the students. Everyone is busy with working with the microscopes. The lecturer goes in front of the classroom by the study boards with botanical data. She explains the materials, students take notes, some of the students take another look into the microscope.
